Windsor Class Rules

Our racing classes are designed to be fun and competetive for all who attend. We attemped to keep the rules simple and inviting to a variety of people. We also expect everyone to follow the few rules we have. Please don't assume if it isn't in the rules it would be permitted. Our idea is just the opposite. If it doesn't say you can, then you can't. If you have any questions or ideas, please ask before signing up for the race. 

We have a minimum track clearance of .047 and a maximum width of 3 1/4 inches wide centered unless specified.

All motors and oilites may be soldered or glued in place.

Guide clips permitted.

Replacement of motor brushes and springs are permitted.

Traction enhancements are limited to Tigers Milk, Niftech or Trinity Zip Grip products only. NO GLUE of any sort.

ANY CAR WHICH SHOWS AN EXCESSIVE PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A MANDATORY DISASSEMBLY. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO EXCUSES.

 

                                                   WOMP MODIFIEDS

CHASSIS - Single piece stamped steel or brass Parma womp or Champion thumper chassis. No drilling of the frame to remove weight.  A 1/8 hole may be drilled for oiling purposes only. Oilites or ball bearings are permitted. Bracing of chassis is permitted. Additional weight is permitted.

MOTOR - Parma 16D Deathstar #501, Pro Slot Speed FX #PS-2000, Kelly #KEFX2000, Falcon Series or Slick 7 Mini Brute #S7-588A only. Motor does not need to be sealed.

BODY - Any dirt modified or aphalt modified open wheel style body. It may be made from any non-metallic material. If staples are used in construction, please be sure there are no protruding edges. Minimum height at the front edge of the roof is 1 1/2 inches from the track surface. Body armour or tape around the pin holes is permitted. Side panels may not extend above the roof line. Roof spoiler measures a maximum of 1/8 inch. Rear spoiler measures a maximum of 5/8 inch. Front hood must extend over the front axle but not past the front of the guide flag. The outer body maximum measurment at any point is 4 1/4 inches long. Inner panel (corn pickers)  must be the full length of the body

TIRES - Any tire manufacturer, material, diameter or width is acceptable front or rear. Minimum clearance of .047 must be maintained front to rear and side to side.

AXLE/GEARS - Solid 1/8 axles only. Independent front axle permitted. Any 48 pitch pinion/crown combination.

 

                                           READING/VINTAGE MODIFIEDS

CHASSIS - Narrowed Parma 4" FCR chassis only. Main part of the brass chassis may not extend out past the sides of the body. The chassis must have front, rear, and side rub rails. Maximum width of the rub rails is 3 inches centered. All rub rails must be built from a minimum .032  diameter wire  or tubing. ABSOLUTELY NO PROTRUDING SHARP EDGES OR POINTS! 

MOTOR - Parma 16D Deathstar only. Seal may be opened but must retain the Deathstar armature. This is a motor buy out class.

BODY - Any vintage style modified lexan body. All cars are to be painted like a real vintage car.  Must have a 3D driver with a head. Windows must be cut out. Minumum roof height is 1 7/8 inches measured from the track. We have a tech tool for this. 

TIRES - Front tires are Pro Track only. 3/4 Dia and .500 wide minimum

             Rear tires are Pro Track only. .875 Dia and .800 wide minimum

AXLE/GEARS - 1/8 solid axles only. Independent front axles are permitted. Any 48 pitch crown/pinion combination.

ANY CAR LOSING DRIVERS HEAD OR ANY RUB RAILS LEAVING SHARP  POINTS  WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CONTINUE UNTIL REPAIRS ARE MADE.

ANY RACER MAY PURCHASE ANY OTHER RACERS MOTOR FOR THE COST OF A NEW ONE AT THE END OF EACH RACE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

                                                          Championship LMP

CHASSIS - Any commercially 4" stamped  chassis past or present retailing for $30.00 or less. Maximum three piece chassis. Single piece center sections only. Oilites only, No ball bearings. Chassis, motor and guide tongue may  be braced. Front axle must be straight and may be soldered or glued in place. Front wheels must roll. Front wheels must have an o-ring. Any production guide flag. Weight may be added. Drilling holes is prohibited. Plating may be removed only in areas to be soldered. May add either solid or floating body pin tubes. 

MOTOR - Parma 16D Deathstar only. Motor may be opened but must retain the stock parts. Armature may be trued but not balanced. No motor bearings. Brushes and springs may be changed. Shunt wires permitted.

BODY - Any LMP open or closed cockpit. Must have doors detailed and minimum two numbers. Sponsors are encouraged. Car must be detailed similar to Red Fox style bodies. Multiple colors are encouraged.

INTERIORS - Open cockpit cars must have a detailed driver. This means helmet and gloves must be different from the driver suit. Closed cockpit cars require a flat card interior minimum. Flat interiors must be fully detailed.

TIRES - Any.

AXLES/GEARS - 1/8 or 3/32 axles only. 48 or 64 pitch gears. Any combination.

 

                                                             

 
 

                                          SMALL BLOCK LATEMODELS

     Because of poor parts availablitiy from the manufacturers, we were forced to change the rules for our small block latemodels. Anyone that purchased one of the first latemodel chassis, please come speak with me. I apologize for this inconvenience.

Chassis  - JK Retro Chassis Kit JKD302 with the .078 dia main hoop only. Chassis must be built to a 4 1/4 " wheel base. Chassis must be solid. Chassis must be solid with a .078 x 1" brace at the rear of both side pans. (red arrow) Must use Parma or Champion body mount plates.(blue arrow) No straight body pins! Chassis should resemble the photo below. Oitlites only, no ball bearings.

Bumpers - Front and rear are optional but recommended. Rear bumpers may not extend more than 1/8" past the rear quarter panels. Rear bumper can be a maximum 3 1/4" wide and must fit inside the body. Front bumper must remain inside the body under the hood. Side rails are not permitted.

Body - Must be the Cavemanbodeez late model .030 thick. Must have a detailed 3D interior. Windows may not be cut out. All windows must be clear. Must use Parma body clips. All wheel opening must be cut out to see 100% of the wheel. Body must cover the guide flag when veiwed from above. Hood must be 1 1/8 above the track surface. LEading edge of the roof must be 1 1/2 above the track surface. Liency will be given to existing bodies from previuos rules.

Paint- All cars must have numbers on the roof and both sides. Cars using just numbers must have a two tone paint job . Cars using vinyl sponsor decal sets may be painted one color. Contingency decals do not qualify as sponsor decals.

Motor - Pro Track Cheetah II motor only. Motor must have CHeetah II markings on it. Motor must be in line and not offset. Any motor may be claimed by any racer at the end of each race for the cost of a new motor. No exceptions.

Tires - Pro-track only, 7/8” (.875) diameter minimum rear. Rear tires may be narrowed for performance. Front tires must be 13/16 minimum diameter and .500 wide. Front tires may not be nail polished or painted.

Axles/Gears - Any 48 pitch crown and pinion combination. 1/8 solid axles in rear. Front must be 3/32 axle but may run an independent axle configuration.

Weight - All cars must weigh a minumum of 160 grams before, during and after the race. Any car losing its weight during the race must replace the weight before continuing.

 

                                                     Hardbody NASCAR

There will be NO duplicate paint schemes
 
Body: Any 1/24 or 1/25 scale hard plastic body. No vacuum formed bodies. Side exhaust skirts may be removed. Wheel openings may be enlarged for tire clearance only. Body can not be modified or lowered in any other way. Body may be attached in any manner providing there are no sharp edges or protruding points. Velcro is recommended. Body must be complete at the beginning of each race. Front and rear windows must remain in place during the race.

Paint: Must be painted as a past or present real NASCAR sanctioned racecar. Movie NASCAR type paint schemes are permitted, ie Days of Thunder, Stroker Ace etc. Paint will include 3 numbers properly place on roof and doors. Must have major sponsors and contingency decals. All decals and numbers will be water slide or permanent peel-n-stick only. All paint scheme requires verification of existence. ( picture, model box, etc.)

Chassis: Parma 4” or 4 ½” only. Motor mount may be braced. No other altering of the chasis in any way. Chassis must be completely flat at the beginning of the race.

Motor: House motor only. This will be a Parma Home set motor. Cost is about $10.99. Each racer will have his or her own motor.

Motor will be kept in store before and after each race. Motor will be handed to the racer at the time of sign up. The motor will be installed at our counter. A few test laps will be provided for proper gear mesh. Car will then be teched in and impounded. It is the racers responsibility to return the motor at the end of the race. Failure to do so will require the purchase of a new motor prior to the next race.

Repairs or rebuilds will be done by PR for the cost of parts or special services (true com). There will be no labor charge for rebuilding it.

Gears: 48 pitch 9 tooth pinion straight or angled. Any 48 pitch crown.

Axles & Tires: 1/8 solid axles only. Pro Track Daytona stockers only. .875 (7/8") minimum diameter front and rear. Fronts must be .500 (1/2") wide minimum. Rear tires may be trimmed for handling. Front tires may be Pro Track Part # 227. Rear axle gets Parma's #617B long spacer only. No shims. Front tires may not exceed the width of the body at the front fenders.

Interior: Must use a Parma or VFC 1/24 stockcar lexan or styrene interior. Must be multi color detailed with driver suit, helmet, & gloves. Interior must be complete with side panels, dash, roll bar and deck lid. Must no see chassis through windows

Modifications: Chassis must be flat at tech. No bending , drilling or filing of the chassis. No filing the outer dimension of the adjusta bushings to lower the chassis.  Adjusta bushings may be polished, thinned and/or soldered in place. Axles may be polished. Guide flag may be bent for performance.
